work by writer / director andrew martin-smith
based in the toronto area, andrew martin-smith has been working in the film and
television industry for several years as an actor and freelance editor.
in 2002, he released his first short video, "sketches", which toured festivals in new
york city, toronto, vancouver, las vegas, and los angeles. he received the award
for "best student film" at the new york film and video festival.
andrew wrote and directed several short projects while studying at the university
of toronto. in 2007, he was contracted by msn/sympatico to write and direct a
series of videos which were featured on msn's entertainment website.
andrew martin-smith is twenty-five years old. he has operated as a freelance
editor and videographer for the past three years, contracted for a variety of
projects, ranging from film trailers to corporate videos and short documentaries.
he intends to go on making his own films for as long as he can afford to do so.
